Now, I love Big Brother, there’s no arguing about that, but this season of Celebrity Hijack has been so dull I can’t even bring myself to watch it anymore. So, I just report what I find. I just can’t wait for the American version to start in just a couple weeks.

Calista was evicted last night with 25% of the public vote.

She was followed shortly there after by Jay who was evicted with 30% of the public vote.

Resident racist Jade Goody, who I personally blame for the downfall of the Big Brother franchise has decided to open her fat pie hole recently and talk about her opinions of the new Big Brother series, as if anyone actually cares what she thinks.

Sorry, but that show is over… It’s just over. I’m done with it… But it’s funny isn’t it, a year ago people were shouting: ‘Get Jade out.’ Now they’re shouting: ‘Get Jade in.’ So I have to say thank you but no, it’s not for me. I’m done with the show. I haven’t watched a minute of this series.

I’m pretty sure Big Brother doesn’t ever want you back on their program anyways, and I haven’t heard anyone shouting ‘Get Jade in’ so I’m pretty sure you’re stuck in some delusions parallel dimension. Plus, if you just admitted you haven’t watched a minute of the new series then how the hell do you know it sucks?

How ’bout we all shout, “Shut Jade up!”

The odd love affair we watched blossom during last seasons Big Brother 8 in the United Kingdom between winner Brian Belo and twinsie Amanda Marchant is now, over.

Rumor is their lifestyle didn’t fit together and recently when Brian wanted Amanda to move in with him and she declined, he decided to give her the boot.

A pal of Brian said:

They had been suffering strains for a number of weeks because they wanted different things. Brian finally ended it. Amanda loved dressing up and going to trendy London clubs but Brian wanted to hang out with his mates in Essex. Amanda didn’t want to move to Essex and live Brian’s life. She wanted them to hang out in central London with other celebrities all the time.

Last night Liam and Victor became the second and third house mates evicted from the Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack house.

It was a surprise double eviction, and by surprise I mean a surprise to the house mates.

I can’t say I’m really surprised. We’ve seen Victor’s chauvanistic antics over the past couple weeks and Liam has been, well, a total bore.

Liam was evicted with 44% of the vote and Victor was evicted with 32% of the vote.

BBCH: Joan Rivers Picks Three For Eviction; Practical Jokes Backfires And Housemates Threaten To Walk January 17, 2008

Joan River hijacked the Big Brother house last night as most of the house guests had no idea who she was, Calista described her to Anferny as a “comedian with big lips.” He shook his head and had no idea who she was referring to.

Joan Rivers had house mates come into the diary room in groups of two or three and had each other give her reasons why the other should be nominated, with the ultimate decision to be left in the hands of Joan Rivers.

At the end of the task Joan Rivers decided that along with Victor (who was chosen by Anferny earlier in the week to automatically face eviction): Emilia, Liam and Jeremy would also all face eviction. Her reasons?

  • Emilia: She needs to go out into the real world, as if she hasn’t already been there.
  • Liam: Because he masturbated.
  • Jeremy: Because she wants to be the one to knock him down before he gets a big career boost.

Upon her departure Jay and Latoya thought it would be funny to play a practical joke on some of the house mates. Jay was to throw water in Latoya’s face and she was to react without restraint and pretend to actually be offended. When the joke went on as planned it quickly backfired as house mates got “emotional invested” in the argument.

Victor was the one to throw a huge fit about it claiming they played with his emotions and made him (him, in particular) look like an idiot. Victor then proceeded to verbally attack Jay and Latoya insisting the joke made himself and others look like fools. First he went after Laytoa, then he attacked Jay. Jay made the best point by saying that even if the argument was real it was his and Latoya’s argument not his, Latoya’s and Victor’s argument. He also made the point that when Victor fights with his sister and calls her a ‘slut’ their arguments are real and emotionally involve everyone in the house.

After they both received a verbal lashing from Victor, Latoya freaked out and wanted to go home, she even threw the glass she was holding on the ground and ran into the house to talk to Big Brother. First she went to apologize to Victor who had long been throwing a temper tantrum walking through the house punching doors, walls, and knocking things over. When Latoya entered the bathroom Victor and Emilia freaked out at her and started swearing at her to leave with Victor rushing at her in anger. Then during a discussion about the argument between Victor, Emilia and John- John referred to the feuding groups as “parties” Emilia quickly jumped on him saying, “this isn’t a campaign.” John got really upset and ran out.

Emilia then wanted to walk, along with her brother because she feared that Big Brother was making them look like idiots on television.

Which they are.

Nathan remained the hot tub throughout the duration of the feud.

BBCH: Victor Nominated Again After Anferny Fails Kidnapping Task January 14, 2008

Anferny and Amy were kidnapped as part of their daily hijacked task where they underwent an interrogation in an attempt to have the kidnappers extract a four digit code Big Brother gave each contestant earlier that day.

If either Anferny or Amy revealed their four secret digits they would fail their task. The first person to divulge their numbers would then have to nominate another house mate for instant nomination. The winner of the task, the one who doesn’t give up their number, would win immunity from the next nomination as well as the chance to choose another house mate to win immunity as well.

The interrogators lied to both Anferny and Amy telling them that their other house mates (who remained in the house) needed the codes to complete their daily task which would allow them all to be immune from the upcoming nominations. Anferny and Amy were split into different rooms and the interrogators told Anferny that Amy had revealed the first two digits of her number (even though she had not). Anferny then revealed his first two. The interrogators then returned to Amy who wasn’t have any of their bullying antics. When they returned to Anferny they told him that Amy had now revealed all her numbers and the task would be over once he gave them their last two digits.

Anferny obliged.

The task is over.

For not revealing her secret digits Amy was awards with 5,000 pounds and elected Anferny to avoid nominations this week alongside herself. Anferny was then forced to nominate another house mate for eviction and he decided, reluctantly, on Victor.

He then cried for the rest of the night.

Oh, Anferny.

And also, before I forget, Victor called his sister a slut on international television.

And one last thing before I end this post. One thing I found strange about last nights episode was that it was Day 10 but two separate house mates had no idea what day it was. One thought it was Day 8 and the other referred to it as Day 7.

CBB: Celebrity Big Brother Gone Forever? January 13, 2008

jade_shilpa.jpg

This years Celebrity Big Brother was replaced by Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack, after a major fall out from last years version of Celebrity Big Brother.

In the now infamous ‘race row’ between ex-Big Brother star Jade Goody and famous Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty led viewers to file over 40,000 complaints with the United Kingdom’s Ofcom (a communications watchdog group). The backlash resulted in producer fears that putting celebrities back in the Big Brother house would lead to further controversy.

During last summers Big Brother show contestant Emily Parr was removed from the Big Brother house after she called fellow Big Brother contestant Charley Uchea a “nigger”. Which leads me to wonder why it is okay for regular people to appear racist and biggoted on television yet not okay for celebrities?

Channel 4 had this to say in regards to the suspected complete cancellation of the series:

The concept of CBB is great, but it will be virtually impossible to get celebrities to sign up for the show after everything that happened with Jade and Shilpa.

They also said they’re going to concentrate their effort on making Big Brother 9 the best series to date after last summers show and current Celebrity Hijack version have failed to bring in the audience the show once garnered.

The summer’s flagship show is what started the brand in the first place, yet it’s been neglected. Now is the time to hatch a plan which will turn it back into the exciting, vibrant show it once was.
